Following a career in both education and commerce, I now work with children with special needs at Oak Grove College in Durrington. As the College's Community Artist I work on various community projects and help run an on-going sculpture programme as part of the outdoor curriculum. At Oak Grove I work mainly with years 10 and 11, and also introduce and liase with visiting artists, whilst helping to organise an outreach programme that places sculptures made by the children into the local community. Recently we have made contributions to both Arundel and Worthing Festivals and at The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home in Worthing. For the past four years I have also helped co-ordinate the Art Around Town community visual arts scheme (part of SWAG) that places the work of local artists in Worthing. As a practitioner, I currently work with a variety of media including oils, acrylics and different printing techniques and regularly exhibit as part of the annual Arundel Gallery Trail.
